The San Francisco 49ers have made the following roster moves ahead of Sunday's Week 7 home game against the Indianapolis Colts.

  • RB JaMycal Hasty activated from the injured reserve list
  • QB Nate Sudfeld, TE Tanner Hudson activated from the practice squad
  • LB Tyrell Adams promoted to the active roster from the practice squad
  • LB Mychal Kendricks released

The 49ers opened the practice window for Hasty this week, and feel the running back made it through the week well.

"I expect him to be full-go," head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters on Friday. "He had a real good week, which you never know when they're coming back from a high-ankle [sprain]. But he looked good Monday and continued all the way to today. So, no concerns."

Sudfeld will serve as Jimmy Garoppolo's backup with Trey Lance (knee) ruled out.

Kendrick's release is surprising. The 49ers announced his re-signing on Monday, October 18. The team reportedly reached an injury settlement with the linebacker.

San Francisco enters Sunday's game with a 2-3 record while Indianapolis is 2-4. Kickoff between the two teams is scheduled for 5:20 p.m. PT from Levi's Stadium. The 49ers are currently favored by 4 points.
