The San Francisco 49ers have made the following roster moves ahead of Sunday's Week 7 home game against the Indianapolis Colts.
- RB JaMycal Hasty activated from the injured reserve list
- QB Nate Sudfeld, TE Tanner Hudson activated from the practice squad
- LB Tyrell Adams promoted to the active roster from the practice squad
- LB Mychal Kendricks released
The 49ers opened the practice window for Hasty this week, and feel the running back made it through the week well.
"
I expect him to be full-go," head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters on Friday. "He had a real good week, which you never know when they're coming back from a high-ankle [sprain]. But he looked good Monday and continued all the way to today. So, no concerns."
Sudfeld will serve as
Jimmy Garoppolo's backup with
Trey Lance (knee) ruled out.
Kendrick's release is surprising. The 49ers announced his re-signing on Monday, October 18. The team reportedly reached an injury settlement with the linebacker.
San Francisco enters Sunday's game with a 2-3 record while Indianapolis is 2-4. Kickoff between the two teams is scheduled for 5:20 p.m. PT from Levi's Stadium. The 49ers are currently favored by 4 points.

49ers LB Fred Warner drives pace car ahead of NASCAR event at Sonoma Raceway
Last year, San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan fired up the crowd at the Sonoma Raceway, serving as the Grand Marshal of the Toyota/Save Mart 350 NASCAR Cup Series race. This year, another Niner took part in the event. Linebacker Fred Warner was on hand to pilot the official Toyota Camry pace car at the 10-turn race, leading 40 vehicles to the green flag.
"I can't wait to do this," Warner said in anticipation of the opportunity, per a statement issued by the Sonoma Raceway. "I've always enjoyed NASCAR, and to get the opportunity to lead the field around an awesome raceway like Sonoma is going to be one of the highlights of my life."

For much of the offseason, many 49ers fans have believed the team will move on from quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, either via trade or release. However, three months after the beginning of the 2022 league year, the veteran signal-caller still remains a member of the franchise as he rehabs from shoulder surgery.
Additionally, at the linebacker position, many have clamored for the 49ers to trade Dre Greenlaw, given that he's a free agent in 2023 and currently carries a cap hit of $2.54 million after signing his tender as a restricted free agent. Fellow linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair broke out last season while Greenlaw missed 14 games due to multiple injuries, creating a formidable duo at the position with former All-Pro Fred Warner.

Louis Riddick: Seahawks should be 'all over' signing Jimmy Garoppolo if 49ers release QB
Louis Riddick recently praised the San Francisco 49ers' young quarterback, Trey Lance. The ESPN analyst believes the former No. 3 overall pick is capable of shocking many people and turning in an MVP-like season.
"I loved Trey Lance," Riddick said last week on ESPN. "... If he can clean up his decision-making and his accuracy, the kind of things that Kyle would be able to do to scheme people open with the use of the play-action pass ... he will be the best dual-threat quarterback in the NFL."
What about the quarterback that Lance will be replacing this season—Jimmy Garoppolo? Last week,
