Before today's practice, San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke with reporters and shared several injury updates. First, he confirmed that defensive lineman Kevin Givens (ankle) and running back JaMycal Hasty (ankle), who the coach previously said would be out "a while," will both head to injured reserve.

Running back Elijah Mitchell was also injured during the team's Week 2 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Shanahan initially hoped his shoulder injury was just a stinger but told reporters today that it was a bit worse without revealing the specifics of the injury.

"Elijah Mitchell has a shoulder, will not practice," Shanahan said. "... A little worse than a stinger, so that's why he can't go today. He's got a chance at Sunday."

Defensive lineman Arik Armstead (abductor) also will not practice. Cornerback Emmanuel Moseley (knee) and defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw (knee) will be limited.

Shanahan said that running back Trey Sermon is "on a good path" in his recovery after suffering a concussion against the Eagles. However, he remains in the concussion protocol and is among the players who will be limited today.

Shanahan added that cornerback Josh Norman (ankle) is full-go for practice.

49ers' Ji'Ayir Brown is a Cybertruck fan but was advised against buying dream vehicle

By David Bonilla

San Francisco 49ers safety Ji'Ayir Brown recently visited a New Jersey electric vehicle dealership, intending to purchase a Tesla Cybertruck. However, his trusted financial adviser dissuaded him from proceeding with the purchase. Brown, entering his second NFL season after making it to the Super Bowl as a rookie last season, was keen on buying a Cybertruck priced around $200,000, a significant markup over the vehicle's selling price. He even test-drove the truck and praised its ride and features. Negotiations began with the price initially set at $230,000 and later slightly reduced to $210,000. That prompted Brown to consult with his financial adviser. After a quick phone call, Brown told the seller, "It's not in the cards right

Chargers are open to trading Joey Bosa, but can the 49ers afford two Bosas?

By Marc Adams
Mar 9

Could the San Francisco 49ers end up with two Bosas on defense? According to Dianna Russini, Senior NFL Insider for The Athletic, "The Chargers are open to trade offers for many veteran players including Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack, per sources. There are teams interested but many around the league are willing to wait to see if the Chargers cut them soon." That sounds like, at minimum, an open door. Nick Bosa will be entering his sixth NFL season in 2024. In his NFL career, he's been named AP Defensive Rookie of the Year (2019), AP Defensive Player of the Year (2022), is a four-time Pro Bowler and has also been named All-Pro. But the 49ers have struggled to find someone on the opposite side of Bosa who can consistently get after the quarterback. Since the
