San Francisco 49ers veteran tackle Trent Williams left Monday's practice with what appeared to be a right knee issue. The veteran offensive lineman limped off the field early during the session.
"I didn't see it. They said he just clipped his hip or knee or something, and we got him out," head coach Kyle Shanahan said after practice. "He didn't seem overly concerned, but we've got to look at it when we get inside."
Williams, 33, is an eight-time Pro Bowl selection and is entering his second year with San Francisco after the team traded for him last offseason. Williams signed a six-year, $138.06 million contract extension with the 49ers on March 23.
Shanahan also provided injury updates on two other players.
"Javon (Kinlaw) hurt his shoulder last week," Shanahan said. "He'll be week-to-week. I doubt he'll be out there this week. It wasn't a setback. It was a new thing—his shoulder. ... Shon Coleman hurt his knee in the game. He's day-to-day."
Shanahan added that wide receiver Austin Watkins Jr. is headed to injured reserve with a fractured foot, which was expected. The coach was also asked if wide receiver Jalen Hurd suffered a setback.
"I think you guys know the deal with him," Shanahan responded. "He goes out, does individual. We try to look into his knee. I know that he didn't finish today, which means his knee was bothering him. Hopefully, he'll have a bigger day tomorrow, and hopefully, he'll get more [with] the practice[s] with the Chargers."
