Samson Ebukam definitely doesn't skip leg day, as you're about to see.

Ebukam, who figures to fill a pass rushing role for the 49ers this season, posted a demonstration of how much he can squat to Instagram on Monday. It's the latest in a number of workout videos Ebukam has shared on Instagram since signing with the 49ers in March after spending the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Rams.

A number of players were impressed with Ebukam's latest video, including teammates George Kittle, Trey Lance, Darrion Daniels, and Jeff Wilson, as well as Colts linebacker Zaire Franklin and Rams linebacker Ogbo Okoronkwo. Each of them left brief comments on the video, with Kittle saying, "Sheeeeeeesh." Check it out below.

The 49ers signed Ebukam to a two-year deal worth $12 million and appear set to let him loose on opposing quarterbacks. Ebukam had 14 sacks in four seasons with the Rams but may be in more of an attack mode with the 49ers.

"The number one thing is, with the Rams, I was kind of reading and things like that," Ebukam said earlier this month. "But over here, it's just attack, don't read. So I just have to flip a 180 real quick and just get on that. Attack, and the people behind me will clean it up."

Kyle Shanahan even more impressed with Brock Purdy after 49ers-Giants film review

By David Bonilla
Sep 22

After the San Francisco 49ers' 30-12 victory over the New York Giants on Thursday night, head coach Kyle Shanahan expressed how happy he was with his second-year quarterback, Brock Purdy, despite some miscues. "It definitely wasn't his best game, but I think Brock played well," Shanahan said. "I mean, he definitely wasn't perfect. Missed a couple of throws, but he also made a couple of plays that I didn't think were there. So I was definitely happy with him." The next day, after reviewing what his team did against their Week 3 opponent, the coach was even more impressed with his quarterback. "After watching the film, I was even more impressed than I saw last night after the game," Shanahan said Friday afternoon via a conference call. "We missed a

Why Alex Smith continues to be impressed by 49ers QB Brock Purdy

By David Bonilla

The San Francisco 49ers have been impressive through their first two games of the season. Quarterback Brock Purdy continues to win. His regular-season win streak could extend to eight games on Thursday night, with the Niners hosting the New York Giants at Levi's Stadium. One former player who remains impressed by the 49ers' second-year quarterback is Alex Smith. Smith addressed those who question whether Purdy, the last overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, is for real and if the young quarterback can "take this team the distance." "He doesn't look like Josh Allen or Justin Herbert, the guys that we want to label these premier quarterbacks in the NFL, but he's built, and it's a perfect place to be because he's an amazing facilitator of this offense," Smith said on

Anthony Brown eager to help new 49ers teammates beat Giants

By David Bonilla
Sep 20

The San Francisco 49ers signed Anthony Brown this week, and the cornerback is ready to help his new teammates defeat the New York Giants. However, that help may not come from Brown taking the field on Thursday night. Brown spent his first seven NFL seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, so he is familiar with the Niners' upcoming opponent, having played in the NFC East for many years. Brown was a starter for Dallas until suffering a torn Achilles in December. "Just getting here, so I'm just trying to basically tell the guys as much as I can, and if they have any questions on little tips and little pointers," Brown told Larry Krueger this week. "The Giants pretty much show up every week in their game plan, and trying to help the corners and DBs as much as I

49ers teammates on underrated Brock Purdy: He's doing everything needed to win football games

By David Bonilla

Second-year quarterback Brock Purdy continues to help the San Francisco 49ers rack up wins. While he has yet to lose a regular-season game in his pro career, there are still those who doubt the 23-year-old, saying that he is a product of a quarterback-friendly system or looks better than he is because of the plethora of playmakers around him. On Thursday, one of Purdy's teammates was asked about the debate surrounding the quarterback's legitimacy. "All Brock's done is gone out there and win," tight end George Kittle responded. "He does a great job with that. You can watch the tape from this last game against the Giants when he was pressured, like, 31 or however many snaps that was, and he
