Samson Ebukam definitely doesn't skip leg day, as you're about to see.

Ebukam, who figures to fill a pass rushing role for the 49ers this season, posted a demonstration of how much he can squat to Instagram on Monday. It's the latest in a number of workout videos Ebukam has shared on Instagram since signing with the 49ers in March after spending the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Rams.

A number of players were impressed with Ebukam's latest video, including teammates George Kittle, Trey Lance, Darrion Daniels, and Jeff Wilson, as well as Colts linebacker Zaire Franklin and Rams linebacker Ogbo Okoronkwo. Each of them left brief comments on the video, with Kittle saying, "Sheeeeeeesh." Check it out below.

The 49ers signed Ebukam to a two-year deal worth $12 million and appear set to let him loose on opposing quarterbacks. Ebukam had 14 sacks in four seasons with the Rams but may be in more of an attack mode with the 49ers.

"The number one thing is, with the Rams, I was kind of reading and things like that," Ebukam said earlier this month. "But over here, it's just attack, don't read. So I just have to flip a 180 real quick and just get on that. Attack, and the people behind me will clean it up."

49ers impressed by Brock Purdy's growth as a QB

By David Bonilla
May 23

San Francisco 49ers quarterbacks coach Brian Griese has observed improvement in Brock Purdy, who is benefiting from his first full offseason as a starter. During his rookie offseason, Purdy was merely fighting for a roster spot, using his limited practice reps to prove his worth. Last season, he had a few starts under his belt but couldn't get on the practice field due to recovering from offseason surgery on his throwing arm. Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Griese explained that Purdy has been hard at work during the 49ers' offseason program. He continues to improve in reading his progressions, managing his footwork, and enhancing his situational awareness. That goes for all of the 49ers quarterbacks. "I think it's just a confidence thing," Griese said. "I

Brandon Staley has transitioned from working with one Bosa to another. As the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers, he worked with four-time Pro Bowl pass rusher Joey Bosa. Now, he gets to work with Joey's younger brother, Nick Bosa, who also boasts four Pro Bowl selections and a first-team All-Pro nod in 2022. Staley joined head coach Kyle Shanahan's staff and will serve as the assistant head coach of the San Francisco 49ers. Speaking to reporters last week, he expressed his admiration for the Bosa brothers and considers himself fortunate to work with both. "I think having to face Nick, you know what a challenge he is," Staley said. "And I've coached Khalil Mack, Von Miller, Bradley Chubb, Leonard Floyd, and Nick's always a guy that we would watch. And I

49ers DB coach praises Deommodore Lenoir's big mental leap

By David Bonilla
May 28

The San Francisco 49ers hold defensive back Deommodore Lenoir in high regard. The team values versatility, and Lenoir has demonstrated to his coaches that he can be relied upon in various roles throughout the secondary. Whether lining up inside or outside, Lenoir's adaptability and consistent performance have made him an invaluable asset to the defense. 49ers defensive backs coach Daniel Bullocks believes Lenoir made a significant mental jump as a player last season, and the analytics back that up. Lenoir's 75.8 overall grade and 74.3 coverage grade from Pro Football Focus were career highs. Opposing quarterbacks had an 86.9 passer rating when throwing his way. "I say, mentally, he made his biggest jump [last year]," Bullocks told reporters last week. "I think
