NFL Network's Taylor Bisciotti reported that Denver Broncos wide receiver DaeSean Hamilton suffered a torn ACL while training away from the team's facility. He was likely headed out the door before the injury took place. It was believed Hamilton would be traded before Ian Rapoport reported that a trade was in the works, and would likely be finalized in the coming days.
#Broncos WR DaeSean Hamilton was likely to be traded, rather than waived. But he tore his ACL training away from the facility. Now, everything is on hold as the team gets more info.

My understanding is a trade started to come together late yesterday and was expected to be completed in the coming days. So this is an extremely rough outcome for DaeSean Hamilton and the #Broncos. https://t.co/s2ulXxLEjc

NFL insider Benjamin Allbright gives the impression that it was the San Francisco 49ers that were the team interested in acquiring Hamilton, a fourth-round draft pick by the Broncos in 2018. While it's unlikely that Denver would have received anything more than a lower-round draft pick or a reserve player from San Francisco, any negotiations have obviously been tabled due to the latest development.
Allbright adds that other teams were also interested.
Unfortunate for Niners, other teams made offers as well. https://t.co/PO7owU7f4G
