49ers’ Nick Bosa shares video showing rehab progress

Apr 8, 2021 at 12:40 PM--

Nick Bosa was one of several ("several" may be an understatement) San Francisco 49ers who suffered injuries last season. The young pass rusher's injury was season-ending. He suffered a torn ACL in Week 2.

Bosa appears to be recovering nicely. On Thursday, he posted a new workout video on social media, which was captured and shared by our friends over at @OurSF49ers_. The video shows Bosa running with a weight sled tied to his waist, and he doesn't appear to be hampered by his left knee injury.

A healthy Bosa's return will be a significant boost for the 49ers' pass rush. Bosa and veteran Dee Ford appeared in just one full game each last season. Ford was sidelined due to back and neck injuries.

Bosa recorded 47 tackles, 16 tackles for a loss, 25 quarterback hits, nine sacks, an interception, two passes defensed, and a forced fumble during his impressive NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year campaign in 2019.

Update: Bosa later shared the following additional video via Instagram, via @Thesfniners_

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said he hopes to see stadiums across the league filled with fans once again. Last season, there were no or limited fans in venues due to the pandemic. For players, the strangeness of playing in empty stadiums could be a thing of the past. Defensive end Nick Bosa only got to play one game at Levi's Stadium last season before suffering a season-ending knee injury during Week 2. He caught up with 49ers team reporter Keiana Martin and shared that he hopes to see fans again in 2021. "It would mean a lot, really," Bosa said during a virtual one-on-one. "I only got one game at home without the fans, and it was really weird. I love to look back at the film and TV

North Dakota State head coach Matt Entz spoke with NFL Network's Andrew Siciliano today to discuss his former quarterback, Trey Lance, who was drafted No. 3 overall last week by the San Francisco 49ers. "A very composed, intelligent, high-football-I.Q. player. He can make a lot of throws. He can make all the throws. Will he need to continue to refine his process and refine his fundamentals of the game? Of course he will. That's why they're going to get him out there as soon as they can to start working with

49ers' Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch talk Jimmy Garoppolo, Richard Sherman, and Nick Mullens

By David Bonilla

Jimmy Garoppolo's days with the San Francisco 49ers may be numbered. He will likely remain with the team through the 2021 season. However, after drafting Trey Lance of North Dakota State with the No. 3 overall pick, it is clear that a change is on the horizon for the Niners. While most felt that might create an awkward situation in the quarterback room, Garoppolo has made the best of it. In fact, Garoppolo was the first 49ers player who reached out to Lance after the incoming rookie heard his name called in Cleveland, Ohio. Head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch spoke to the media on Friday night after the team was done making its Day 2 picks. They were asked if they spoke with Garoppolo after selecting Lance. Obviously, the quarterback knew the
