The San Francisco 49ers opted to bring back defensive end Jordan Willis on a one-year deal. The team also signed former Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Nathan Gerry to a one-year deal. Two reports reveal some of the details of those two contracts.

We'll start with the returning player, Willis. His deal includes $990,000 in salary, per Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.

Wilson reports that Gerry's deal is also for $990,000 but includes $137,500 in play-time incentives. That brings his total potential salary up to the reported $1.13 million.

George Kittle: Jimmy Garoppolo's our quarterback, but I trust 49ers brain trust to improve team

With the start of the 2021 NFL Draft just a day away, San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle joined Good Morning Football this morning. He could have a new quarterback as a teammate by Thursday night. On March 26, the Niners traded a haul, including two future first-rounders, to move up to the No. 3 spot. While the team has stated that Jimmy Garoppolo remains in its plans for the upcoming season, there have been reports of growing buzz around the league that San Francisco could look to trade Garoppolo before or during the draft. In Kittle's mind, though, Garoppolo remains his guy. "I mean, Jimmy's our quarterback," Kittle said. "He has been. He's led us to a bunch of wins. We haven't won without him. His record speaks for itself. ...

The San Francisco 49ers are selecting a quarterback after trading up nine spots last month to the No. 3 overall pick in tomorrow's NFL Draft. But what if they weren't? George Kittle joined Good Morning Football this morning, and Kay Adams presented the All-Pro tight end with an interesting hypothetical. What if the Niners didn't select a quarterback and drafted former Florida tight end Kyle Pitts instead? How would Kittle feel about that? "Well, see, I like that idea a lot because I think we have four good tight ends on the roster right now," Kittle responded, "but you add Kyle Pitts, all the things that he could do, his versatility, I mean, I'd enjoy running 23 personnel up and down the field. Two backs, three tight ends, spread them out, run the ball

Schefter: I believe the 49ers have come to a consensus on who to draft at No. 3

Adam Schefter appeared on ESPN's Get Up! this morning and shared some tidbits surrounding the San Francisco 49ers and the much-discussed No. 3 overall pick. The NFL insider believes the team had Mac Jones of Alabama in mind when it traded up on March 26. However, the early move gave head coach Kyle Shanahan, general manager John Lynch, and team personnel time to openly assess the other top prospects — Justin Fields of Ohio State and Trey Lance of North Dakota State. "As much as the 49ers love Mac Jones, and they do, I believe that the gap between Mac Jones and the other quarterbacks like Trey Lance, has been narrowed considerably to the point where, over the weekend, the organization was really going back and forth on all these quarterbacks, and trying to

Fowler and Graziano: Kyle Shanahan has kept an open mind during 49ers' draft evaluations

San Francisco 49ers fans might hear Mac Jones' name called tomorrow night while their team is on the clock. The former Alabama quarterback may not be the most popular choice, but he is probably the prospect who head coach Kyle Shanahan had his eye on last month when the Niners traded up to No. 3 overall. "Sources believe that when the Niners traded up from No. 12 to No. 3 a month ago, they did so with Jones in mind," wrote ESPN's Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano. "And sources also say that 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan -- who ultimately gets to make the final decision here -- has preferred Jones to the
