The Eagles made Gerry a fifth-round selection out of Nebraska in 2017. He recorded 57 tackles, four tackles for a loss, a sack, and two passes defensed through seven games with the Eagles in 2020, per Pro Football Reference. A season earlier, the linebacker played 335 snaps on special teams in addition to his 620 on defense.
As @JClarkNBCS reported earlier, former #Eagles LB Nate Gerry has agreed to a deal w/ the 49ers. I was told a pair of AFC teams were also interested but Gerry chose SF because of the opportunity for more playing time, and the potential to start.
