The San Francisco 49ers are among the teams that met with Boston College edge rusher Max Roberts at the Hula Bowl, per Justin Melo of The Draft Network. He also met with the Tennessee Titans, Seattle Seahawks, and New York Giants during the days leading to the all-star game.
Roberts (6-1, 250) has most recently heard from the New York Jets, Las Vegas Raiders, and Los Angeles Chargers.

As noted by Melo, Roberts recorded 4.5 sacks through eight games as a sophomore in 2020 after transferring from Maine. He added 22 tackles, six tackles for a loss, and a forced fumble as a situational defensive end, often entering the lineup in passing situations.
Melo believes Roberts could be a late-round or undrafted free agent pickup by an NFL team. The 2021 NFL Draft begins on April 29.
