Update: The 49ers officially announced the signing on Monday, February 22 — 10 days after it was first reported.

The 49ers entered the offseason with nearly 40 players scheduled to become free agents. They have brought back several since the end of the season, including quarterback Josh Rosen, long snapper
Taybor Pepper, and running backs Jeff Wilson Jr. and Austin Walter.
