There have been a lot of rumors surrounding San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. It seems as though any time another quarterback becomes available via a trade, the media and some fans are ready to help Garoppolo start packing for a new home. It happened with Matthew Stafford, and everyone is keeping an eye on what happens with Deshaun Watson. Even the Kirk Cousins speculation is trying to resurface.

All-Pro tight end George Kittle was on vacation for all of the Stafford speculation and chatter. Now that he's back, he wants to make sure everyone is clear that his stance on Garoppolo has not changed. The tight end isn't too concerned about the chatter that dominated Twitter last week.

"In my opinion, that's about all it is. It's talk, and it's chatter," Kittle said Tuesday on Good Morning Football. "The Niners aren't in the playoffs this year, so let's look at the biggest headlines, and what else is there to talk about except for our handsome quarterback, Jimmy G? And I think that's all everybody wants to talk about for some reason, but it is what it is.

"Jimmy's a hell of a quarterback, took us to a Super Bowl last year. Unfortunately, some injuries prohibited us this year, and I know prohibited him from performing at his best. I still believe in Jimmy G. I think he's an incredible quarterback. I think he can lead us to another Super Bowl. I think we can win a Super Bowl with him."

Garoppolo missed 10 games this past season due to ankle injuries. He missed 13 games in 2018 after suffering a torn ACL. Sandwiched between those seasons was a 16-game regular-season campaign topped with an impressive playoff run and Super Bowl appearance.

"I can't even talk enough about his leadership skills on and off the field," Kittle continued. "I feel like I've answered this question about 200 times now since I last talked to you guys after (the) last Super Bowl, but I'll keep dying on the sword because I think Jimmy G's a fantastic quarterback. I think he's got an amazing release. He's got a great arm. He's got a great touch. So, I'm happy to have Jimmy G as my quarterback, and I know that we can win with him."

Rumor: Steelers believe they can acquire 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk at a bargain

By David Bonilla
Apr 17

According to Sports Illustrated contributor Noah Strackbein, who writes for "All Steelers" on the network, there's a level of confidence within the Pittsburgh Steelers organization that they can strike a deal for San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk—and at a bargain rate. "According to a team source, the Steelers and 49ers trade talks are real," Strackbein wrote. "While nothing is imminent, they 'would be surprised if it didn't happen.' But it all comes down to compensation, and Pittsburgh isn't willing to budge much on price." While it seems unlikely that the 49ers would part ways with Aiyuk for anything less than a first-round draft

George Kittle recently spoke with ESPN during the Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia, where he joined other NFL stars for the golfing event. Of course, the conversation shifted toward football, with Laura Rutledge asking Kittle to reflect on the team's 2023 season, its Super Bowl defeat, and the motivation it provides for the upcoming season. The tight end believes San Francisco maintained a competitive roster this offseason and is gearing up for another run at a championship. He emphasized the importance of maintaining good health and continual improvement for a successful upcoming season. "Brock Purdy is a fantastic quarterback, and he's only going to get better because he's young," Kittle said. "And we were fortunate enough to be able to keep our entire

Former NFL exec on 49ers' Brock Purdy: "I think he needs to find more fire"

By David Bonilla
Apr 14

Brock Purdy isn't one to seek the spotlight. He exudes politeness, respect, and an even-keeled demeanor when speaking to reporters during interviews. Nothing we've seen from the San Francisco 49ers quarterback's time off the field would indicate that it's a facade. However, on the field, Purdy can show some fire, particularly after a big play or in an effort to ensure his teammates are on the same page as him. While praising the third-year quarterback, one unnamed former NFL executive expressed a desire to see more of that fire from Purdy in the future, believing it is crucial to his development. "Brock Purdy is one of the most talented arms that I've seen," the former executive recently

Steelers are reportedly still pursuing 49ers' Brandon Aiyuk

By Marc Adams

According to NFL Insider, Benjamin Allbright, the Pittsburgh Steelers are trying to trade for San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, to add him as a weapon for QB Russell Wilson. The Steelers added Wilson earlier this offseason after the Denver Broncos decided to move on from him. Aiyuk, if paired with Steelers WR George Pickens, would give Wilson two dangerous threats in the passing game. 👀 pic.twitter.com/261FS6DjhL— Benjamin Allbright (@AllbrightNFL)
