With the Seattle Seahawks in control of the game late in the third quarter, the home-team defense got to San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo for a sack, his third of the game. After the play, Garoppolo was seen on the sideline nursing his ankle and walking around with a noticeable limp before leaving for the locker room.
That was it for Garoppolo in this game. The 49ers announced that the quarterback is "questionable" to return due to an ankle injury.
Nick Mullens replaced the 49ers' starting quarterback on the next series with the Seahawks owning a comfortable 30-7 lead through three quarters of play.
Garoppolo finished the game 11-of-16 for 84 yards with no touchdowns and an interception. He missed two games earlier this season after suffering a high-ankle sprain during Week 2.
