San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw has missed the last two practices. Head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke with reporters after Monday's practice and revealed the second-year defender is in the concussion protocol.

That means his absence is unrelated to linebacker Fred Warner landing on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday.

Shanahan also revealed that offensive tackle Trent Williams, who did not practice on Monday, received a veteran day off.

The team continues to be cautious with tight end George Kittle, who has not practiced since last Wednesday due to some hamstring tightness. The All-Pro is expected to return later this week.
