Jordan Reed, Jimmy Garoppolo earn PFF's highest grades from 49ers-Jets matchup

Analytics site Pro Football Focus released its grades from Sunday's Week 2 matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the New York Jets. The road-team Niners routed the home-team Jets 31-13 in a game that featured several injuries. One of those injuries was to quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who did not return to the field after halftime and was later ruled "out" with a high-ankle sprain. Before the injury, Garoppolo played well, completing 87.5 percent of his passes for 131 yards with two touchdowns and a passer rating of 140.4. Garoppolo's 90.2 overall grade from Pro Football Focus was the second-highest from the game. The highest overall grade from the Week 2 matchup went to tight end Jordan Reed, who saw more action due to George Kittle being out
