Here are some of the top San Francisco 49ers storylines that made their way around social media on Tuesday, July 21, 2020.

Receivers Discuss COVID-19 Protocols

On Instagram Live today, 49ers receivers Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk discussed the team's COVID-19 testing protocols. Rookies, which applies to Aiyuk, and injured players, which applies to Samuel, report for testing on Thursday along with the team's four quarterbacks.

No Preseason in 2020

The NFL and NFLPA appear to have come to an agreement to eliminate all scheduled preseason games leading to the 2020 regular season.

NFL Rosters Are Expected to Shrink

In addition to no preseason games in 2020, the NFL will likely reduce the size of rosters going into training camp.

Matt Barrows of The Athletic first reported the move. The 49ers also announced that three more players — wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, tight end Daniel Helm, and tackle Trent Williams — have been added to the reserve/COVID-19 list. They become fifth, sixth, and seventh players added to the reserve/COVID-19 list this week. This is the second time on the list for both Aiyuk and Williams. Defensive lineman Arik Armstead was added to the reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday, one day after the team's loss

PFF ranks 49ers' Brandon Aiyuk as the third highest-graded rookie through Week 10

By David Bonilla
Nov 17, 2020

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk owns an overall Pro Football Focus grade of 79.0. That's good enough to rank him as the third highest-graded rookie through Week 10. Only wide receiver Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings and offensive lineman Michael Onwenu of the New England Patriots rank higher. "The Niners' first-round rookie was far from productive in his first five games in the NFL, generating just 0.94 yards per route run to pair with a 68.7 receiving grade," wrote Anthony Treash in a recent feature for PFF. "He's been red-hot as of late, though, raising his yards per route run figure to 2.63 and earning a receiving grade of 87.3 over
