The San Francisco 49ers have pushed back the reporting date for the team's rookies, who were initially scheduled to arrive tomorrow. They will now report on Thursday, July 23, along with the team's quarterbacks and injured players, according to Matt Barrows of The Athletic.

The rest of the team is scheduled to report on Tuesday, July 28. Upon reporting, all players will undergo testing for COVID-19, and then await the results while the 49ers to figure out what they will and won't be able to do. Santa Clara County is reportedly reviewing the 49ers' plans and protocols to open and conduct training camp safely. The rest of the league remains scheduled to report for training camps as initially planned.

Chris Biderman of the Sacramento Bee initially reported over the weekend that the 49ers were informing players to expect a later report date. However, the draft of that story was mistakenly published early and then taken down.

The NFL Players Association has reportedly (at least partially) won its battle for daily testing. The NFL wanted COVID-19 testing to take place less frequently. Both Pro Football Talk and ESPN report that the league has given in to the players' demands on that front, with the latter reporting that testing will move to every other day after two weeks should positive-test rates fall.

Update: Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area has provided a better timeline of 49ers players' reporting schedule.

Update: The NFL sent the following memo to NFL teams, outlining the plan for COVID-19 testing.
