Add the team's first-round pick, Brandon Aiyuk, to the list. The rookie receiver posted photos of himself working out with his new NFL teammates (again, h/t to Chris Biderman of the Sacramento Bee for the find). You can scroll through them below.
San Francisco traded up to select Aiyuk out of Arizona State with the No. 25 overall pick. The receiver recorded 98 receptions for 1,666 yards with 11 touchdowns in two seasons with the Sun Devils after transferring from Sierra College.
Aiyuk remains unsigned by the 49ers, as is the case with each of the team's five draft picks.
The 49ers facilities remain closed off to players, who continue to go through the team's offseason program virtually, using video conference software. Coaches are not allowed to meet face-to-face with their players or conduct any official on-field work, which is why these player-organized throwing sessions are taking place.
The only players allowed within team facilities are those rehabbing from injuries that occurred before the closures.
The NFL on Thursday officially announced that the virtual offseason would be extended through June 26, which means players' first opportunity to get onto practice fields won't come until training camp next month, at the earliest.
