San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch went to Twitter to thank those on the front line during the coronavirus pandemic that has struck our country and the world. That includes healthcare workers, police, firefighters, grocery store employees, and other workers deemed essential.
Lynch also urged viewers to remain at home and stay safe. The 49ers are working remotely with the team's facilities closed to staff and players.
"You guys, be strong," Lynch said. "Stay at home. Stay safe. And a saying that we have in the Niners building is, 'I've got your back.' And at this time, I think never has that been more important, to have everybody else's back."

So many inspirational performances happening every day around the world and in our local communities. Thank you all for your selfless acts and the sacrifices you and your families are making. The 49ers have your backs! #IGYB @49ers pic.twitter.com/yPsnjHDN7X
