The San Francisco 49ers are re-signing center Ben Garland to a one-year deal worth $2.25 million, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Garland, 31, filled in for Weston Richburg after the starting center landed on injured reserve with a torn patellar tendon on December 11, 2019. He started during the 49ers' final six games, including the playoffs and Super Bowl LIV.

The Denver Broncos signed Garland as an undrafted free agent out of Air Force in 2010. Garland has 63 game appearances and 10 starts through his six NFL seasons. He also spent four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons before signing with the 49ers on April 23, 2019.

Update: Garland posted the following via Instagram after it was announced he is returning to the 49ers.
