At halftime of the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs matchup in Super Bowl LIV, 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel has 39 rushing yards. The record for rushing yards in the Super Bowl by a wide receiver is 45 yards. Percy Harvin owns the record. He set it in 2014 with the Seattle Seahawks.
Samuel, who had 159 rushing yards in the regular season, has gotten his 39 yards on just two carries. They both came in the 49ers' opening drive. On the third play of the drive Samuel took the ball around the right end and found daylight en route to gaining 32 yards. The remaining seven yards came when Samuel got the ball and looked to pass but scrambled for the first down instead.
Samuel leads all players in yards from scrimmage with 62 yards at halftime.
