San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch stated that the rookie minicamp would kick off on May 12. However, that appears to be when first-year players can report to the team. The NFL announced today that the 49ers' rookie minicamp would take place May 13-15, two weeks after the draft. It will be the first opportunity for 49ers coaches to see its latest draft class, which includes nine players, on the practice field. In addition, several undrafted free agents will join them, along with some players looking to try out for the team. The 49ers drafted the following players in the 2022 NFL Draft. The San Francisco 49ers announced they have re-signed cornerback Jason Verrett to a one-year deal. He was an unrestricted free agent. Two days have passed since the conclusion of the 2022 NFL Draft. The 49ers selected two cornerbacks—Samuel Womack of Toledo and Tariq Castro-Fields of Penn State—as part of their nine-player draft class. The team also invested heavily in the position by signing cornerback Charvarius Ward in free agency. He registered five tackles during Week 1 this past season before suffering a season-ending torn ACL, landing on injured reserve for the sixth time in eight seasons. Verrett, 30, has recorded 145 tackles,

The San Francisco 49ers never received a trade offer that made them reconsider their stance that Deebo Samuel must remain on the roster. He's not just a wide receiver for the team. Last season, Samuel showed that he could do it all, contributing 1,770 all-purpose yards and 14 total touchdowns receiving and rushing during his breakout third-year campaign. The 2022 NFL Draft is behind us, and Samuel remains on the roster after recently requesting to be traded. The 49ers hope to mend the relationship between team and player. However, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Samuel remains intent on leaving the 49ers. "It appears he is still dug in, still wants to be traded

George Kittle in 2017, DJ Reed in 2018, Dre Greenlaw in 2019, Colton McKivitz in 2020, Jaylon Moore, Deommodore Lenoir, and Talanoa Hufunga in 2021, and the newest selection, cornerback Samuel Womack. With the 172nd pick of the 2022 NFL Draft, the 49ers selected Womack out of Toledo. Womack is 5'9" and 187 pounds. He ran a 4.39 in the 40-yard dash. In 2021, Womack recorded 32 total tackles, two interceptions—with 58 return yards, and 15 pass breakups. "Very highly productive player at Toledo," general manager John Lynch said on Saturday. "Can really run and very productive around the ball, all kinds of PBUs and playmaker rating as our R&D guys took a look at
