Bob Glauber of NewsDay.com appeared on ESPN stating that the San Francisco 49ers appear to be the likely destination for free agent linebacker Lance Briggs. However, the comment seemed to be purely speculative and may just be the result of rumors from the internet. Glauber added that the Redskins are the secondary team to watch in the Briggs sweepstakes.
