There was a lot of hype surrounding the return of Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch. When you saw the recently unretired player line up on offense in a 4th-and-inches situation at the San Francisco 31-yard line, it was safe to assume Lynch was getting the football.

The 49ers defense saw it coming.

Lynch got the carry and was stuffed for no gain and the 49ers offense took over on downs. Rookie defensive end Nick Bosa received credit for the tackle.

The 49ers currently lead 13-0 in the closing seconds of the first half. A victory and San Francisco wins the NFC West and gains home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs.
