The San Francisco 49ers moved into first place in the NFC following their Saturday-night victory over the Los Angeles Rams. That could have changed with a Seattle Seahawks win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, but the team from the desert pulled off a surprising road win.
For now, the 49ers remain the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoff race.
The Seahawks loss changes nothing as far as the NFC West title is concerned. The division crown will still be determined next Sunday night when the 49ers travel to CenturyLink Field to face the Seahawks.
Below is the current playoff picture in the NFC. Things could shift a bit near the top.
The Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings play on Monday night.
