The San Francisco 49ers won a hard-fought game against the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday night; much more hard-fought than the Week 6 matchup between the two teams.

Fred Warner was a key contributor in the 34-31 victory and made a memorable play right before halftime to give the 49ers their first lead of the game. The second-year linebacker intercepted Rams quarterback Jared Goff and returned the football for 46 yards and a touchdown.

The team has dealt with injuries. Still, nothing intimidates Warner and the 49ers, who remain confident no matter the opponent.

"All season, I feel like we've been playing with that violence, with that effort, making sure that we're technical in how we play the game," Warner told the NFL Network crew after the game. "It doesn't matter who's on the field, we're going to have the utmost confidence in our ability when we touch the field."

In addition to eliminating the Rams from playoff contention, the game sets up a crucial NFC West title showdown with the Seattle Seahawks at CenturyLink Field next week. Warner does not sound intimidated by that matchup or what is at stake in that Week 17 game.

"I think it's safe to say when these coaches took over, this is exactly the moment that they dreamed of," Warner said. "This couldn't be a better position than we've been put in, and all we got to do is go get it now. It's all on us.

"Like you said, we've got eight days to get ready. It's going to be a hostile environment. I can't wait. I can't wait to get going."

49ers view Isaac Yiadom as leading candidate to start at CB, says insider

By David Bonilla
Mar 21

The San Francisco 49ers' signing of cornerback Isaac Yiadom to a one-year deal wasn't a headline-grabbing move. It wasn't even the Bay Area team's most significant free-agency move thus far. That would be defensive end Leonard Floyd signing a two-year deal with the 49ers. However, San Francisco hopes Yiadom proves to be one of its more underrated signings. The 28-year-old defensive back is coming off his best NFL season. Yiadom's 81.1 overall grade and 80.4 coverage grade from Pro Football Focus were career highs. Opposing quarterbacks completed 50 percent of their passes (22 of 44) and owned an 84.4 passer rating when targeting the former New Orleans Saints defender in 2023. RELATED:

49ers actively negotiating with Brandon Aiyuk, not discussing trades, says John Lynch

By David Bonilla
Mar 25

General manager John Lynch addressed reporters at the NFL owners meetings on Monday, emphasizing the San Francisco 49ers' active pursuit of a contract extension for wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. There has been significant speculation surrounding Aiyuk's status this offseason. The receiver is slated to play on his fifth-year option, which guarantees him $14.124 million in 2024. While the team would be content with Aiyuk playing on that fifth-year option, it would prefer to secure the star receiver to a long-term deal before he returns to the field. Charvarius Ward willing to help 49ers land Tre'Davious White

By David Bonilla
Mar 18

The San Francisco 49ers likely aren't finished fortifying their defense and have reportedly expressed interest in bolstering their defensive backfield. If they require assistance making a significant move, one 49ers player is prepared to lend a helping hand. Last week, the Buffalo Bills released All-Pro cornerback Tre'Davious White, who appears to be an ideal fit for San Francisco's needs opposite Charvarius Ward. Over the weekend, Ward took to social media to reveal that he and White share the same agent and that he is willing to nudge the free-agent defensive back in the right direction. Ward described White as a "hand in glove
