Kyle Juszczyk had a big series of three consecutive plays that helped give his San Francisco 49ers a 19-10 lead over the visiting Atlanta Falcons on Sunday afternoon. The fullback recovered a fumble by Falcons running back Kenjon Barner on a punt return in the fourth quarter and carried the football to the Atlanta one-yard line.
Then, on offense, Juszczyk gets an opportunity to finish the job, and got the carry but lost a yard. So head coach Kyle Shanahan decided to show off his fullback's versatility and called a pass from Jimmy Garoppolo to Juszczyk, and the two connected for a two-yard touchdown.
Kicker Robbie Gould missed the extra point.
The 49ers can clinch a playoff berth with a win over the Falcons or a loss by the Los Angeles Rams to the Dallas Cowboys. Both the 49ers and Cowboys are leading in the fourth quarter.
