The undefeated New England Patriots are the consensus No. 1 pick on most power rankings. The NFL's only other undefeated team is the San Francisco 49ers.

There is no debate on which squad is the best in the AFC. Despite their 7-0 record, there is still some debate whether or not the 49ers are the best team in the NFC. After all, the already impressive New Orleans Saints just got quarterback Drew Brees back.

The 49ers and Saints, by the way, will face each other on December 8 in New Orleans.

There is no debate which team is the best in the NFC if you ask former head coach turned ESPN analyst, Rex Ryan. In fact, there is no debate about which team is the best in the NFL.

"Not only are [the 49ers] the best team in the NFC, they're the best team in the NFL," Ryan said on ESPN's "Get Up." "I look at it this way: Their defense, in my opinion, they suffocate people. This is the best defense in the league, and you also have the best running game in the league. And you could take this anywhere. Any condition, you can run the football, play defense, snow, rain, it doesn't matter.

"So to me -- and I love the coach, man. (Kyle) Shanahan, you talk about these brilliant young guys. How about this guy? Put him at the top of the list for the brilliant young coaches. Why? Because he's as creative in the run game as anybody in the league. He gets it done that way.

"Garoppolo is OK, but they just [added Emmanuel Sanders]. I love this football team. Man oh man, who wants to play this team? Nobody."
