2008 49ers Free Agents

According to Matt Maiocco of the Press Democrat, the following are the San Francisco 49ers' 2008 free agents.

Restricted Free Agents
CB B.J. Tucker - The team may not tender him.
TE Billy Bajema - He will likely receive a low tender from the team.

Unrestricted Free Agent
OG Justin Smiley - He could return to the team if the price is right.
QB Chris Weinke - He is unlikely to return to the team.
CB Donald Strickland - He could get a chance to return to the team.
DL Isaac Sopoaga
WR Michael L. Lewis - He could get another shot at return duties with the team.
QB Shaun Hill - He will likely return to the team and compete for a starting job.
RB Maurice Hicks
OT Kwame Harris - He will likely test the free-agent market.
WR Bryan Gilmore - He would have trouble winning a roster spot if the 49ers re-signed him.
DL Marques Douglas - The 49ers could look to re-sign him.
OG Larry Allen - He is retiring.

More experienced 49ers hungrier than ever to win the Super Bowl, says Richard Sherman

Richard Sherman knows what it's like to win a Super Bowl. He also knows what it's like to lose a Super Bowl. The cornerback knew that before joining the San Francisco 49ers and relived the experience in February. Sherman feels there are valuable lessons to be learned in a Super Bowl loss, though, especially for a young and less-experienced team. He remembers a playoff loss to the Atlanta Falcons while with Seattle, and how it made his Seahawks hungrier than ever. "The next year, it was like the season couldn't start fast enough, and it couldn't go by fast enough," Sherman said during an Instagram interview with Pro Football Focus. 49ers LB Fred Warner makes NFL Top 100 Players debut, ranks No. 70 on the 2020 list

NFL Network is unveiling its NFL Top 100 Players of 2020 list. The San Francisco 49ers were not represented during Sunday's airing of the show, which revealed No. 71 through No. 100.
