Seahawks LB and impending free agent K.J. Wright sees no issues with 49ers

Seattle Seahawks fans already had to endure three years of watching cornerback Richard Sherman in red and gold, which looks less odd now than it did when he made his San Francisco 49ers debut. Could the Pacific Northwest handle another fan-favorite crossing over to the division rival? If you think the 49ers will have to do some creative maneuvering to stay under the salary cap — whatever the limit ends up being — the rest of the NFC West is in worse situations. San Francisco's over $13 million in projected cap space leads the division, per OverTheCap.com. The Arizona Cardinals look to have under $12 million, the Seattle Seahawks just over $4 million, and the Los Angeles Rams — well, they

Kyle Juszczyk is just a couple of weeks away from hitting free agency, and from the discussion on Monday's The Pat McAfee Show, it sounds like the San Francisco 49ers fullback believes he will get to test the market. This is the second time Juszczyk will be a free agent. He signed a four-year, $21 million deal with the 49ers in 2017 after four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens. "Honestly, there really is so much that goes into it," Juszczyk told Pat McAfee. "Money, without a doubt, is one of the biggest things. I'm not going to be the guy that sits here and tells you that no, money doesn't matter because this is life, man. It's a business. Money is probably the No. 1 factor, but it's not the only factor. There's a lot. "Things like, can this

Rosenthal expects 49ers tackle Trent Williams to be the highest-paid player in free agency

The San Francisco 49ers let wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders leave via free agency after pulling off a mid-season trade with the Denver Broncos to acquire him. He was seen as a piece that could help lift the team to a championship, and it came very close to accomplishing that last year. Could offensive tackle Trent Williams be one-and-done, too? Last year, San Francisco traded for Williams to replace the retiring Joe Staley, giving up draft capital in the process. Williams is the most prominent name among the 49ers' long list of impending free agents. NFL Network's Gregg Rosenthal recently ranked his top 101 free agents in 2021. Williams came in

ESPN, PFF identify Dak Prescott as a free-agent match for the 49ers

By David Bonilla
Mar 4, 2021

Let's just note right off the bat that this one probably isn't going to happen and sounds very unrealistic. Dak Prescott isn't likely to hit the open market, and even if he does, he will cost a significant sum of money. That didn't stop Seth Galina of Pro Football Focus, in a special for ESPN, from identifying the Dallas Cowboys quarterback as a match for the San Francisco 49ers. "Each NFL team has a specific weakness -- whether that's edge rushing, slot coverage or just general quarterback play -- so we decided to fit a player who would fill that specific need for the team," explained
