The San Francisco 49ers (3-0) are the last remaining undefeated team in the NFC, yet Dan Hanzus has four NFC squads ahead of the No. 7 Niners in his latest power ranking over at NFL.com.

I must always note that power rankings are opinion based and don't mean a whole lot in the grand scheme of things, and it is Hanzus' opinion that the Philadelphia Eagles (2-2), along with the Chicago Bears (3-1), Dallas Cowboys (3-1), and New Orleans Saints (3-1), are all NFC teams which are better than San Francisco.

The Eagles jumped 11 spots in the NFL.com power rankings after their win over the Green Bay Packers last week at Lambeau Field. That, by the way, is the biggest jump by a single team within Hanzus' power ranking and moved Philadelphia ahead of San Francisco.

"At the end of the day, if someone asks me, 'Who do you think is the better team, the Eagles or the 49ers?' I think it's Philadelphia," Hanzus said Wednesday morning on "Good Morning Football."

Hanzus notes that the Eagles have been hit with injuries and still managed to earn a hard-fought road win in a big game and on a short week.

Hanzus has the right to feel that way. After all, the 49ers have played just three games, and it is his power ranking. Had it not been scheduled with a Week 4 bye, maybe the team could have done something to prove it deserves to be higher. It couldn't, though, because that was the schedule that it was dealt.

"The Niners, I'm bummed out for the Niners, and just in general down on the schedule-makers for this Week 4 bye," Hanzus continued. "I wanted to see more of the Niners. They're a compelling team to me. The fact that I put them in the top 10 off their 3-0 record, they deserve to be there, but I wish I could have watched them in Week 4. The good news is, now I get to watch them in the next 12 weeks or whatever."

The power rankings show that the 49ers still have much to prove, and that can begin on Monday night with a home win against the visiting Cleveland Browns.

Kay Adams noted that she was sure that members of The Faithful (kudos to her for getting that right) would be hitting Hanzus up after the segment to let him know how they feel about the 49ers' ranking.

"Bring it," Hanzus responded.
