49ers-Steelers Injury Report: Dee Ford practices, is listed as questionable; James Conner expected to play

The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 3 contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. On Friday, the team held its final full practice of the week.
DE Dee Ford returned to practice on Friday, which bodes well for his chances of playing on Sunday. Ford left this past weekend's game against the Cincinnati Bengals bothered by the quadriceps and knee injury which plagued him during training camp and forced him to miss the preseason.
The 49ers' other marquee edge rusher, Nick Bosa, has practiced all week after missing most of last week but still playing in Cincinnati. He is listed as questionable.
For the Steelers, RB James Conner (knee) has practiced all week and is expected to play against the 49ers.
Below are the official injury reports for the 49ers and Steelers, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff. Also included are this week's practice participation reports.

49ers GM John Lynch gives a thumbs-up to Nick Bosa's recovery but isn't certain about Dee Ford
By Kirk Larrabee

There's good news and not-so-good news for the San Francisco 49ers on the defensive end front as the 2020 season comes to a close.
No position on the San Francisco 49ers was hit harder with injuries over the course of the 2020 season than defensive end, with the absences of Nick Bosa and Dee Ford in particular resulting in a significant negative impact for the team's pass rush. But while all signs are positive in terms of Bosa being ready for the 2021 season, it sounds like things aren't as certain when it comes to Ford.
49ers general manager John Lynch discussed the current status of each player during his year-end press conference on Monday, and while his tone was upbeat about Bosa's recovery from a season-ending torn ACL, he sounded much less optimistic in

According to Joe Person of The Athletic (via Pro Football Talk), the Carolina Panthers are expected to request an interview with San Francisco 49ers vice president of player personnel Adam Peters for the team's general manager opening.
Peters may be one of many to interview, though. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Carolina has already requested to interview New England Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio, Buffalo Bills assistant general manager Joe Schoen, and Cleveland Browns vice president of football operations Kwesi
Washington expected to interview 49ers' Martin Mayhew, Panthers to interview Adam Peters on Wednesday

While defensive coordinator Robert Saleh is likely to garner much of the media attention as other NFL teams look to fill head-coaching vacancies, the San Francisco 49ers could suffer other losses. Personnel from the team's front office could be plucked away this offseason.
NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported on Sunday that the Carolina Panthers were expected to request an interview with 49ers VP of player personnel, Adam Peters, for the team's general manager job. Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated reports that the request is in, and the interview is scheduled for Wednesday.
Breer also notes that the 49ers' other VP of player personnel, Martin Mayhew, is
