The San Francisco 49ers have officially announced the signing of offensive lineman Ryan Pope as the 10th and final player on the team's initial practice squad.
Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area was the first to report the 49ers' intention to sign Pope, which he did on Sunday.
The Detroit Lions signed Pope as an undrafted free agent out of San Diego State on May 10, 2019. He was waived on August 30.
Pope appeared in 38 games with 24 starts for the Aztecs. He started all 13 games as a senior in 2018 and earned Second-Team All-Mountain West honors. Pope spent one season (2014) at Long Beach City College before joining San Diego State.
The San Francisco 49ers have officially announced that running back Patrick Taylor Jr. has been re-signed to a one-year deal. NFL insider Tom Pelissero first reported Taylor's return on March 10.
