San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo made his much-publicized return to the football field on Monday night against the Denver Broncos. It was just a preseason game, but it still probably wasn't what Garoppolo or fans had envisioned.
Garoppolo is returning from an ACL injury suffered 11 months ago.
Garoppolo ended his night 1-of-6 passing for no yards and an interception through three failed drives. The quarterback is expected to play on Saturday against the Kansas City Chiefs, which will be his last appearance before Week 1 of the regular season.
