Listen Up: 49ers' Nick Mullens Will Shine in Prime Time

By Gilbert Brink

Call me crazy, but I have a strange feeling 49ers QB Nick Mullens is about to do something very special. First off, Nick Mullens has not been a very good QB this season. The 49ers once thought they had a golden insurance policy on their bench due to Mullens' encouraging 2018 performance. By David Bonilla
Dec 1, 2020

Safety Jimmie Ward ended up as Pro Football Focus' highest-graded player from Sunday's matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams. His 94.7 overall grade was his highest of the season. In fact, it was the highest of his career. The high marks earned Ward a spot on Pro Football Focus' Team of the Week or Week 12. Ward finished Sunday's game with five tackles, a pass defensed, and two forced fumbles. The first forced fumble came when the 49ers safety stripped Rams running back Malcolm Brown in the first half. The other was after Ward collided with Jared Goff, causing the quarterback to cough up the
