Terrell Owens is on a mission to retrieve many of his valuables from his NFL days, according to TMZ. The former NFL receiver who spent his first eight seasons with the San Francisco 49ers had his Atlanta-based storage unit, which contained a custom bust, playbooks, autographed helmets, cleats, and more, auctioned off after he reportedly stopped making payments to the company.
"We reached out to TO, who says he had no idea his stuff was about to be auctioned off, telling us his people had been trying to make contact with the storage company for years but had been getting the runaround," reports TMZ.
The good news for Owens is that the new owner of some of his NFL treasures is willing to return it to the former receiver. Although, the report doesn't state whether or not there will be a finder's fee.

Owens, who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame last August, is being honored by the 49ers this season. He will be inducted into the team's Edward J. DeBartolo Sr. San Francisco 49ers Hall of Fame during halftime of the first home game of the upcoming season.
