The San Francisco 49ers signed cornerback Jason Verrett earlier this month to a one-year deal. He is expected to compete for the starting job opposite veteran Richard Sherman.
First, Verrett will need to make sure he is healthy. He missed all of last season after tearing his Achilles tendon on the first day of training camp and was placed on injured reserve on August 2, 2018.
Verrett has landed on injured reserve during each of the past three years with his last healthy season coming in 2015. He was selected to the Pro Bowl following that season.
The rehabbing cornerback posted the following video via Instagram on Thursday of himself running on a treadmill.
