Arizona held its pro day on Friday and former NFL wide receiver Miles Austin, now an offensive quality control coach with the San Francisco 49ers, was seen working with Wildcats receiver Shawn Poindexter, according to Justin Spears of the Arizona Daily Star.

Mike Christy, a photographer with the Arizona Daily Star, even got a photo of the two together.

"Got a chance to talk and listen to Miles Austin, who coached me up a little bit out there," Poindexter said via the Arizona Daily Star. "Which was awesome."

He also noted that he and his father grew up as fans of the 49ers.

Poindexter, who measured at just under 6-foot-5 and 212 pounds, had career-highs in receptions (42), receiving yards (759), and receiving touchdowns (11) with the Wildcats in 2018. The latter tied a single-season school record. The year earned him an invite to the East-West Shrine Game where he caught the eyes of NFL scouts after catching a touchdown.

Poindexter ran an unofficial 40-time just over 4.6 seconds, which was disappointing for him.

"I performed pretty well," he said. "I missed my 40, but it's all good. I made up for it with my routes and catching the ball. Just waiting on phone calls now, I guess."
