The San Francisco 49ers met with UMass wide receiver Andy Isabella at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, according to Chris Biderman of the Sacramento Bee. He met with new wide receivers coach Wes Welker and new offensive quality control coach Miles Austin.

Isabella was part of the North squad, which was coached by the Oakland Raiders staff, at the Senior Bowl. The 49ers coached the South squad. He caught seven passes for 74 yards in the Senior Bowl after a nation-leading 1,698-yard and 13-touchdown campaign during his senior season at UMass.

Isabella hasn't run his 40-yard dash at the Combine yet, but he created some buzz before the Senior Bowl by telling reporters he recently ran a 4.26 40.

At the NFL Scouting Combine, the 5-foot-9 and 188-pound Isabella had 15 reps in the bench press. Other measurables for Isabella include an arm length of 29 3/4 inches and hands that measure 8 3/8 inches.

Each NFL team is allowed to conduct 60 player interviews in 15-minute intervals in Indianapolis.

Lance Zierlein of NFL.com, who compares Isabella to Phillip Dorsett, wrote the following about Isabella within his scouting report:

"Competitive, well-rounded slot target possessing both elite quickness and long speed to go with above-average play strength. Isabella has the feet and fakes to uncover in a hallway closet and the former high school sprint champion proved to Georgia that his ability to win deep should not be underestimated. Isabella could step into a high-volume slot role as a menace on option routes with the ability to add verticality from the slot. While the step up in competition will be pronounced, he has the traits to transition nicely into the NFL."

ESPN insider Adam Schefter recently shared his insights on the situation surrounding San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk during an appearance on the network's "NFL Live" show. Schefter clarified that while Aiyuk would like to remain with the 49ers, his priority is securing a contract that reflects his value, regardless of the team. When questioned about Aiyuk's desire to stay with the team that selected him in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Schefter responded, "Well, I think his desire to get paid is greater than his desire to stay in San Francisco, wherever that is. If the 49ers want to pay him, I'm sure he'd love to stay in San Francisco. If another team would like to pay him, I'm sure he'd like to go
