Rich Scangarello, who is currently the San Francisco 49ers' quarterbacks coach, continues his interviews with the Denver Broncos on Wednesday. He is meeting with new Broncos head coach Vic Fangio and, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, is expected to become the team's new offensive coordinator.
#49ers QB coach Rich Scangarello is back in the building in Denver for another day, and sources say his interview with Vic Fangio and others went well. The expectation, barring a snag in talks, is that he becomes the new #Broncos offensive coordinator. Important hire.

The 49ers initially denied the Broncos permission to interview Scangarello but had a change of heart. He is interviewing for the position left open after Gary Kubiak departed the team.
"The 49ers initially blocked the Broncos' attempt to interview Scangarello, but the two sides did eventually come to an agreement," reported Mike Klis of 9News in the Denver area. "There is no guarantee Scangarello will get the Broncos' offensive coordinator position. Fangio will make the decision after interview[ing] Scangarello at Broncos' headquarters today."
Source confirms that the Broncos are finalizing a deal to make 49ers QB coach Rich Scangarello their new offensive coordinator, as @RapSheet reported.

Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports that the 49ers are expected to search for an in-house replacement should the Broncos hire Scangarello.
If Rich Scangarello is hired as Broncos offensive coordinator, the #49ers can be expected to stay in-house at QBs coach with someone, such as Mike LaFleur or Mike McDaniel, who knows Kyle Shanahan's system very well.https://t.co/i07RdBsxUx https://t.co/EYLn1xWlL8
