The San Francisco 49ers announced that the team has signed wide receiver Jordan Smallwood to the practice squad. He replaces Victor Bolden, who was signed by the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday.
Smallwood (6-2, 225) initially signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Oklahoma on May 8. The Chiefs waived him on May 16, re-signed him on May 30, and waived him again on September 1.
Smallwood appeared in 47 games with two starts and registered 18 receptions for 170 yards with one touchdown in five seasons with the Sooners.
