San Francisco 49ers linebacker Malcolm Smith was one of two players fined from last weekend's game against the Seattle Seahawks. He was fined $10,026 for his hit on Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, according to a report by Matt Barrows of The Athletic.
The other player fined, according to Barrows, was Seahawks defensive lineman Jarran Reed for his hit on 49ers quarterback Nick Mullens. His hit carried a heftier $20,054 fine.
As Barrows points out, there is no word on whether or not head coach Kyle Shanahan will be fined for his in-game use of a colorful metaphor toward an official after Wilson threw 49ers linebacker Fred Warner's shoe.
