San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster, who will be officially released by the team on Monday, appeared in front of a judge on Sunday morning as his soon-to-be former teammates prepared to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Foster was arrested at the team's hotel on Saturday night at 9:10 p.m. ET on suspicion of domestic violence as the 49ers were conducting team meetings. He was booked into a local jail an hour later.
You can watch the video, provided by WFLA News, of Foster appearing in front of a judge via video conference below. The video confirms reports that the alleged victim in the most recent incident is Elissa Ennis, the ex-girlfriend who accused Foster of domestic violence on February 11 and then later testified to lying about the events that led to the linebacker's earlier arrest.
"The court finds probable cause for the charge of domestic violence, battery, and poses bond at $2,000," said the judge. "No-contact order with the alleged victim. No weapons or firearms."
"This was based off other stuff," Shanahan explained. "I don't know whether that is right or wrong. We'll see what happens in the court of law. I wasn't there, but too many things have happened.
"We tried to help him out a lot. I know he has been trying too, but this was a mess up that it doesn't matter whether he did or not. It's time to move on."
