The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 7 contest against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

The 49ers held another walk-through on Friday, as they did on Wednesday, due to the shortened preparation time following a Monday night game. Thursday was the team's only full practice of the week.

"You've got to change things up (on a short week) a little bit because the guys are a little bit more tired with the travel, just having one less day to recover," head coach Kyle Shanahan said Friday morning during a KNBR interview. "We walked through our practice on Wednesday. We had a full practice yesterday (Thursday) but I think we're going to walk through here this (Friday) afternoon too just to save our legs and make sure we're fast on Sunday."

As Shanahan shared Friday morning, rookie wide receiver Dante Pettis is ruled out against the Rams. It will be his third straight missed game since suffering a knee injury against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Other Friday injury notes:

  • DB Jimmie Ward did not participate in Friday's walk-through and has not practiced this week. He re-aggravated a hamstring injury on Monday night and is listed as doubtful against the Rams.
  • Shanahan said on Friday morning that he expects his entire starting offensive line to play on Sunday.
  • CB Ahkello Witherspoon was in the concussion protocol this week and is listed as questionable.

Below are the official injury reports for the 49ers and Rams. Also included are Friday's practice participation reports, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff. For the 49ers, it represents an estimation of what participation would have been for a full practice.
