San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan provided an injury update on Wednesday. He is expecting three 49ers rookies to be available when the team hosts the Seattle Seahawks at Levi's Stadium on Sunday.

Tight end George Kittle (ankle), wide receiver Trent Taylor (ribs), and defensive end Solomon Thomas (knee) were all inactive for the 49ers' win over the New York Giants on November 12.

"I hope [they can play]," Shanahan said. "I'm expecting them to. They were all pretty limited on Monday. They're going to be limited today. I could tell the week off really helped them. I don't think they would have been able to play last week, but they're practicing. They're still limited, but I'm hoping they'll go."

Taylor and running back Raheem Mostert were in blue no-contact jerseys during Wednesday's practice.

One rookie that did not participate in Wednesday's practice was Adrian Colbert, who suffered a broken thumb against the Giants. Shanahan is not as optimistic about Colbert's chances of playing on Sunday.

"Very small chance," Shanahan said. "We haven't ruled him out yet. We'll see. He'd have to practice a little bit this week, but I'm not feeling too optimistic about that."

Below are the official Wednesday practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Seahawks, as provided by the 49ers Communications department.

Former NFL WR: Brandon Aiyuk told me he doesn't want to leave 49ers

By David Bonilla
Apr 22

Former NFL wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh claims to have recently spoken to Brandon Aiyuk, stating that the star player has no desire to leave the San Francisco 49ers. Aiyuk and the 49ers are currently negotiating a contract extension, aiming to finalize a new deal. Of course, that hasn't prevented significant media speculation surrounding Aiyuk's future, with many wondering if the delay might hint at a potential trade. Well-informed 49ers fans know that the team typically finalizes its significant contract extensions closer to training camp, as seen with George Kittle in 2020, Fred Warner in 2021, and Deebo Samuel in 2022. Last year, negotiations with Nick Bosa concluded just days before Week

He further stated that the Steelers are confident they can finalize a deal for the star player. REPORTS: The Pittsburgh Steelers are aggressively pursuing a Brandon Aiyuk trade and the Steelers would be "surprised" if they don't land Aiyuk. Of note: Pittsburgh has the 20th overall pick. Speculation surrounding Brandon Aiyuk will likely continue until the end of the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, which kicks off tonight. All eyes are on what the San Francisco 49ers will do at No. 31 overall and what moves they might make before then. While general manager John Lynch assured the media this week that retaining Aiyuk is the priority, the receiver eagerly awaits the 49ers to back up their words with action, making him one of the NFL's highest-paid receivers. One Bleacher Report writer, Ryan Fowler, proposes a trade likely to draw criticism from 49ers fans. In his analysis of one draft-day trade "that makes sense"
