The San Francisco 49ers and New York Giants may have nine Super Bowl titles between the two of them, but 2017 has been a nightmare of epic proportions for the once proud organizations. How bad has it been? Well, coming into Week 10, the two teams have combined for one win, while seeing a whopping 38 of it's players go on Injured Reserve. For the Niners, the rest of the season is merely about seeing who can contribute next year, and getting young players valuable snaps.
San Francisco will have an added reinforcement this week however, as T Joe Staley (eye) returns to the lineup to help solidify the offensive line. That's the good news. The bad news is the team will be without DT Solomon Thomas, TE George Kittle, and WR Trent Taylor, all of whom are key rookies missing valuable experience.
