The San Francisco 49ers defeated the Seattle Seahawks 41-23 in a blowout victory to move forward to the NFC Divisional Round, where they'll face the Dallas Cowboys for the second consecutive season in the playoffs.
After giving up 16 points in the first half, the 49ers shut down the Seahawks' offense, allowing only a final-minute touchdown when the game was well out of reach.

The San Francisco 49ers defeated the Dallas Cowboys 19-12 in a defensive showdown, advancing to the NFC Championship Game where they'll face off against the Philadelphia Eagles, who earned the No. 1 seed in the NFC this season.
Defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans was faced with his toughest challenge of the year aside from the Kansas City Chiefs and succeeded to great lengths, confusing the Cowboys' offense with various looks, which resulted in a two-interception day for Dak Prescott.
Here are the grades for the 49ers' defense against the Cowboys:

The accolades for San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa keep piling up. After leading the league with 18.5 sacks, the talented pass rusher was named a first-team All-Pro and named to his third Pro Bowl roster.
Add another honor to Bosa's resume. The defensive end has been named the Pro Football Writers of America's (PFWA) Defensive Player of the Year.

49ers-Cowboys Injury Report: San Francisco only rules out two players

The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Divisional Round playoff contest against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
There hasn't been much to report as far as injuries this week. The 49ers are relatively healthy entering their second playoff game of the year. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and cornerback Ambry Thomas are the only players who missed each practice this week. As expected, San Francisco has ruled out both players for Sunday's game.
