49ers offer minicamp tryout to South Dakota safety Tyson Graham

South Dakota safety Tyson Graham was a player who worked out for the San Francisco 49ers in preparation for the 2017 NFL Draft. Graham has been offered a tryout to make the team at the 49ers' upcoming rookie minicamp, per NFL Draft Diamonds.

The 49ers were among the teams that spent some extra time with Graham at South Dakota's pro day in March. The linebacker/safety hybrid joined the Coyotes as a wide receiver but moved to defense for his sophomore year. He spent the majority of his time playing safety for South Dakota.

NFL Draft Diamonds recently asked the 6-foot-2, 212-pound Pompano Beach, Florida native what traits separate him from others. "Physicality, being able to diagnose plays quickly, tackling, and versatility," Graham answered.

Graham compares himself to linebacker Deonne Buchannon of the Arizona Cardinals. "His physicality and versatility and just being able to be plugged in different positions all over the field and still have an impact on the game," he said.

"I'm the kind of the guy who comes in ready to work and get better day in and day out," Graham told NFL Draft Diamonds. "You won't have to worry about me off the field as well, as I know not only will my actions reflect myself but the team as well."

According to Christian Shanafelt of NFL Draft Bible, the 49ers ran the defensive back drills at South Dakota's pro day while the Saints ran the linebacker drills. Graham took part in both.
