49ers announce roster moves ahead of mandatory minicamp

The San Francisco 49ers announced they have signed TE Logan Thomas to a one-year deal. The team waived DL Raymond Johnson III to make room on the roster. The Thomas deal was initially reported on Monday. The 49ers Communications staff provided the following rundown. Thomas (6-6, 250) was originally drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the fourth round (120th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft. Throughout his eight-year NFL career with the Cardinals (2014), Buffalo Bills (2017-18), Detroit Lions (2019), and Washington Commanders (2020-23), he has appeared in 94 games (57 starts) and registered 219 receptions for 2,002 yards

The star player skipped this week's mandatory minicamp, sending a message to the team that he is willing to incur potential fines while waiting on a contract extension. How long will Aiyuk hold out?
