Kansas City Chiefs director of football operations Chris Ballard was one of the first executives that the San Francisco 49ers requested to interview for their vacant general manager position.
Contrary to a report earlier today by Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle that Ballard had agreed to meet with the 49ers, it would seem that he has turned down the request. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that Ballard believes he has a good situation in Kansas City and will not meet with the 49ers.
