The San Francisco 49ers have re-signed RB Shaun Draughn to a one-year deal according to Adam Schefter and Draughn's agent, Sean Stellato.

Draughn ended the 2015 season on IR. He suffered a knee injury during the 49ers' Week 15 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. He was originally signed by the 49ers on November 2, 2015. Draughn had 273 yards on 78 carries with one touchdown this past season with the 49ers. He also had 176 yards on 27 receptions.

After going undrafted in 2011, he spent time with the Washington Redskins (2011), Kansas City Chiefs (2011–2012), Baltimore Ravens (2013), Indianapolis Colts (2013), Chicago Bears (2014), San Diego Chargers (2014), and finally the Cleveland Browns (2014–2015) before being picked up by San Francisco.

Draughn was brought in to help replace RB Carlos Hyde, whose play was limited last season after suffering a broken foot.

Other running backs on the roster include the already mentioned Hyde, Mike Davis, Kendall Gaskins, DuJuan Harris, and Jarryd Hayne. All are signed for the 2016 season. Reggie Bush is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent and the 49ers are not expected to re-sign him.
