Cole added that there are some concerns from the 49ers about Tomsula. "However, there are concerns within this organization, and specifically in the locker room, about the ability of Tomsula to control the locker room and get guys focused on playing hard week in and week out," said Cole.
He also states that another concern is Tomsula's ability to attract assistant coaches and top-level talent. While a final decision on Tomsula has not yet been made and that he may ultimately be fired, Cole believes that the team is leaning toward retaining him. "That my not be the best solution for the 49ers long term," Cole said.
